Agp Speed

<div class="IPBDescription">Durrr</div> This picture should explain my problem : <img src='http://www.uploadimages.net/images/929314agpmode.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /> (I have a Radeon 9200)

Basically, It says that AGP mode is turned off. My video card can support 8x AGP, along with the motherboard. When I switch it to AGP, it tells me to restart and I do. Then I check to see what it says when i look after the restart, and it says that it is off again...

With my old Asus motherboard, I could change the speed through BIOS...but with the P4P800-deluxe, I don't know how to. What could the problem be? Has anyone else had this problem? (I doubt this is a big deal because of AGP speed was somehow off, then I doubt I'd be able to play any games... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

As in the VIA drivers? I installed the newest VIA 4 in 1 drivers or whatever they are called....

I don't think there are any updates for the mobo besides the onboard audio and lan... (<a href='http://www.asus.com.tw/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=P4P800%20Deluxe&Type=Latest' target='_blank'>look for yourself...</a>)

Google "VIA Hyperion" and download the newest VIA Hyperion drivers. My AGP does the same thing unless I update

Why are you installing the VIA drivers? The P4P800dlx uses an Intel chipset, not a VIA chipset.

    Download <a href='http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Detail_Desc.asp?agr=N&ProductID=1049&DwnldID=7484' target='_blank'>these</a>.

Glad you got your problem addressed.

    Anyway

Fast Write is a feature made with ATi cards (and others I think) that enables 2x AGP buses to opperate at a slightly faster bandwidth speed... it's compleatly useless if you have//use a 4x//8x AGP card, and if you enable it, bad things will//can happen.

I sugjest you leave it alone, like I said, completly worthless unless you're running a card in AGP 2x mode.
