Few basic questions/problems

I just downloade NS and I have a few basic questions/problems, could you guys help me out?

I've tried playing the hazzard course to learn how to play NS before I play online, but after hazzard course #3 (crouch jumping) I just hit a room with a pipe you jump into that leads to a dead end.  Is that the entire hazzard?  I'de guess there is more to it.

Also, I tried going online, but I couldn't find any NS servers, all CS... and there is no NS filter in the filter menu...  does anyone here have any IP adresses for good (or moderate) NS servers?

Alrighty,

The hazard course has nothing to do with NS.  The option may be there, but it's still the old HL hazard course, and there's nothing new to learn there.  I don't know why it just deads ends like that for you, but that's another issue.

Now, as far as locating NS servers, there are a load of them out there, but you should follow the instructions here:

so that your filtering will work properly.

Whatever happens, don't be put off by bad pings.  There will be a period of adjustment while server admins learn how to run a successful NS server, and over time, the network code should improve with versions.  It still won't prevent you from learning the game and ahving fun. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I had the same problem when I first installed NS.  It seems to be a bug.  I loaded up Half-Life, went to 'Custom Game', and loaded it from there.  This may help you out.

i just deleted the one on the desktop and copied the one in the program files to the desktop <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
