Don't feel too badly, even us on the opposite side of the US don't have them. I've only heard of them being in California and Washington.

And for those who don't feel like shelling out $1k+ for a true arcade cabinet, Stepmania, a $20 DDR pad, and a $15 PS2-to-USB adapter have worked just fine for me.

There's pretty much a Fry's in every unique city... I think. They all have different Themes depending on what the city is famous for, here in austin the sign has a big Piano on top of it, and a Player Piano somewhere inside...to represent austins musical stuff...and yeah. Fry's are located in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Washington, and Illinois.

edit: and they have the best return policies ever.

There are plenty of dancepads out there for PS2 that connect right to the system and they work great; I own two.

    Stepmania = Win

Has every DDR Song, and then some.

Or, you can just play FFR.

Uh...none of them in central cali bud. I've never seen on in Cali at all TBH- though, I did see one in Arizona.

Edit: Accidently put nevada instead of Arizona...damned exactly-the-same states...

There's at least 2 Fry's I can think of down here in the San Diego area of California. Got a few computer upgrades from one of them in fact.

As for the DDR machine Geminosity, I'd say it looks pretty nice. The one thing I'd worry about with that cabinet is being able to switch out any of the many versions of DDR.

Why play FFR when you can play DDK
WARNING: Second level contains suggestive themes, and is really disgusting.

To be honest i prefer Dance With Intensity over stepmania. Unfortunately they've pretty much stopped updating it, but it doesn't matter really as in it's current version it does the job perfectly =3

Oh and I currently dance on this anyways

grimmy edit: You can actually run stuff like stepmania on the arcade machines so it's not hard to enjoy the full blown experience with any songs you like =D

There is a DDR machine in the Falkirk Superbowl (I saw in your profile you are from Scotland so I thought you might know it). We've had a couple of staff nights out there and most people go on that machine instead of bowling

They're not all themed, they just open them where there's a lot of money. They randomly opened one in Naperville, Illinois, this year. Why? Because that place is filthy rich. Not themed, just a Fry's.

lol, there's 2 DDR arcades in edinburgh. One at the fountainbridge Megabowl (it has Dancing Stage Euromixes 1 and 2 which are the EU version of DDR released by konami) while there's another not far from it in royal amusements at the end of princess street ^^

I know because I dragged a friend on them XD

If you're in the UK and wondering where to find DDR machines though, DDRUK has this handy-dandy machine location database that tells you what's in your area and where =3

Most DDR I've seen in one place was just a while ago when I did a trip with some friends to alton towers... shame the shoes I'd picked for the trip were killing me by the time I saw the first one or I would've jumped on it and stayed there all day =D

Every arcade here in California that I've seen has at least one DDR machine, so two people can "dance" at one time, although it isn't uncommon to see two or three machines.
