What is NWN about? I've seen it, but never picked it up.
Everything was supposed to be DONE FINISHED not to be EVER TOUCHED AGAIN after Throne of Bhaal for BG2. Why do I have this feeling like this isn't such a good idea?
But how will it follow the story line on? It has to otherwise they couldn't really call it BG3, just setting it in the same universe is what every D&D game on the PC has done...
Maybe just same timeline, alternate storyline running through the BG one (after all, we can't just start off as a God surely).
Lets hope in this one you can go all the way from 1-40 and that the top levels aren't as screwed up.
Kinda hoping its the same view as BG1&2, if they can make it 3D and stunningly beautiful then fine just as long as the system isn't as clunky and... artificial feeling as NWN. The NWN view just got in the way, couldn't get immersed into the characters properly and ultimately ruined the game for me. Wasn't intuitive enough.
OK, so it wasn't actually bad, I can't think of a better way to do it and for those who hadn't played as much BG as I had I'm sure it was fine but... just wasn't good enough, couldn't compare to the beauty that is BG.
Besides, with the BG view you could have far more detail that you could in NWN imo.
[Edit] Just wanna say I know exactly what Quaunaut means but if they have thought of a way of keeping this incredible series alive without ruining it then woohoo! If its just a cash in then... well I don't care, I just wont count it as a BG game [/Edit]

Basically, you start off as a recruit in the neverwinter army, and are told to retrieve four animals, known as the 'Waterdhavian Creatures' so that the plague (The Wailing Death, tacky, eh?) that is all over the city can be cured.
As for the storyline, i really don't care if it makes sence or not, i just want it to be good.

. . . indeed. The ending of ToB was as much of a definate end as is possible. If it's being made by Bioware, though, it can't be that bad. After all, BGII is my favorite game of all time, so just knowing that a sequel is being made does make me a tad giddy. I just hope they stick with the isometric view, six-man party, and instant-pause feature that gave the combat a more tactical feel than the brawling of NWN and KOTOR.

Yeah, I know; hard to believe considering that the expansion finished the saga as finally as can be. Know for sure that it will not be anything similar like with the two previous parts...
Though, I must say I'd much rather see a Planescape: Torment sequal. Man I loved those characters!
Was it any good?

Though for the sake of easiness, they MASSIVELY need to give you more information, and slow things down.
Cause it just doesn't make sense to me that I'd hit him 10 times not doing much of a pixel-down in damage, then suddenly he dies.

Imagine Dungeon Siege with 10x simpler graphics and sounds, insert a stub of plot, and design your own party, and you get IWD. Or in other words: don't bother (I wish I never had -what a waste of good, twenty bucks )
Combat feedback=the win
Too bad NWN didn't have it

What are you talking about? NWN had the really good feedback! There is no more information that it can give you!
