<div class="IPBDescription">It is icon related?</div> Ok I can't play on ANY server right now and I keep getting this message:

You have been disconnected from the server.
Reason: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket(server was
unable to contact the authentication server, 35)

I've only gotten this error sometimes since joining constellation. Does this error have something to do with my constie icon. Also, is this a STEAM problem and not an NS problem? If I wanted to turn off my constie icon temporarily, how would I do so? Please help!

    Steam authentication servers are being DDoS'd, if I remember correctly. Just going to have to wait it out...

    I have gotten this error too, and i'm pritty sure that it is a STEAM issue. Just close NS, and then log out of steam all the way/close steam. Then just restart steam, re-login, and it should be fixed.

    Steam has been under DDoS attacks, as already said. No need to go through the hassle of logging in and out or whatever. Just need to wait it out.

    Make sure that at regular intervals, you rightclick the steam icon on your taskbar and select "Exit and logout".

    Generally, when I know I won't play for a while (Such as the thursday before the patch date) I'll exit steam entirely, and wait for the wave to die down before logging in again.

    Also, leaving steam actually running for long periods of time without activity (re: 2+ hours, maybe more) seems to cause this as well.

    It could be the DDoS attacks, or it could just be a coincidence and you'll have to log out and log back in.

    Just means there's lots of crackers doing it at once, or a worm doing it.

    It also makes it distinguishable from the (MS)DOS acronym. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
