Hmm, pics aren't working for me. Which program this tutorial is for? PS? PSP? MSP?

EDIT: Your max bandwidth has exceeded.

Ill resize the pics and reduce the quality and upload em I guess...

This is for PS newbies, as it was requested. "A recoloring tutorial for ps newbies"

Step 1 Take the lasso tool. It's circled in red. Next select on the picture what you want to recolor. You can tell whats selected cause of the dotted lines.

There are different types of lasso tools. Right click on the lasso tool to select a differnt type. Play around with them till you get what you want.

    +1

Once you have what you want selected go to image>mode>rgb color. Its actually a good idea to do this first whenever you edit textures but meh, I forgot.

Never considered myself a spamer, heh

This box will open up. Play around with the settings until you get what you want.

It's a good idea to use the colorize checkbox.

Since you seem to be using PS wouldn't layer masks do it a lot faster and better? I'm sure if you take someone who has only little experience in PS it will be easier to him to use layer masks. Maybe make a second tutorial using layer masks. Oh and you could have cropped those pictures to save the quality. Otherwise, nice tut. You could still have chosen a better font TBH

Font is okay... but here it's not that good to read... because of nasty JPG compression

Go ahead. If you're going to re-do it make 2 changes. Have making the picture into RGB mode first step. And also include Fuzzy's idea of shift+select and then alt+select. Shift+select selects what you have all ready selected and whatever you select with the shift select. Alt does the opposite, it takes away from what you have selected.
