<div class="IPBDescription">mine seem a bit dim..</div> as you can see from the pic, whenever i take screnshots (by pressing F5), when i take a look back at them they always seem a bit dim, as if i pressed esc..

It's because NS's gamma effects aren't carried over to the screen. Use a graphics editing program and up the gamma till it looks like your normal NS would.

<a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61923#dGoD-4_1' target='_blank'>Here</a> in the mapping forum FAQ is the steps to take to gamma correct your screenshots. Since you wont have the env_gamma value the mapper used, just go with 1.6 when needed and it should be close enough.

Looks fine. Get a better monitor.

I remember switching from a 4 year old HP 15" monitor to a brand-new viewsonic 19".. I almost blinded myself, I had the gamma up so high. Pr0n videos took on a whole new light.. literally!

Try turning up your brightness, because that pic looks great to me.

Though how the aliens got a hive up in a fully built marine base, ill never know.
