This should actually be pretty good. I mean most of the jedi's will die and the Dark Side will rise to power. Even hollywood needs a couple good evil movies to balance out the other 99% of movies that happily end. (And by this I mean just the movie in itself if it wasn't part of the overall story that good will triumph overall).

Shockwave's 5 point plan for improving the quality of Episode III

Step one : Take a gun, and splatter Lucas' brains all over the street.
Step two : Skip to End, no further steps are required.
Step three : See Step two.

    Fin.

It's going to be awful. I want to tear my own heart out & stamp on it, but I have to accept the truth. Lucas is directing, which means it's going to be awful. The end.

And I used to think Will Smith is only good for fighting Aliens.

I must be the only person who couldn't stand the Clone Wars on cartoon network. I find the dialog and animation to be pure distillations of what destroyed the starwars franchise; Jerky movements, pseudo-intellectual/religious babble (carefully tailored to offend noone), and a glossing over of plot for the 'sweetness' factor of cool poses.

I miss the old fight sequences of the original trilogy in which lightsabre battles were not 1/2 special effects, 1/2 what appears to be coked up fireflies doing loop de loops.

It physically hurt me watching the Yoda lightsabre scene. GG Episode 4 Obi-Wan.

Yes! That guy is always the bad guy in every movie he does.

Leon, 5th Element, AirForce 1 etc.

He and his voice were most evil in Leon.

Ooh cant wait for this part at least.

I love Gary Oldman, and perhaps this is part of my vitriol for Lucas seeping through, but...

What the hell kind of goofy name is General Grevious? It sounds like he should be from a He-Man cartoon. Why not just name him General Disorder, or Captain Kaos?

That said, I will be glad to see some Jedi knocked off their pedastals. Let us just hope that the 'violence' in this movie gets a bit beyond the GI Joe, only robots and main characters get wounded playbook.
