<div class="IPBDescription">Windows, why do i use it.</div> All i want to do is simple check my drive for errors, but everything has to be a fight with windows.

Go on the MS-Dos prompt type chkdsk /f says it will check on next restart yet it doesnt, instead windows boots up normally now i thought it could be something to do with my date and time being wrong but thier both correct.

Same problem occurs if i go thru the my computer icon and select the C drive and tell it to scandisk it simply wont.

Just wondering if anyone has had this before and knows a fix for it.

I'm pretty sure that if you want to run chkdsk, you can just restart your computer with the "Reset" button instead of shutting down normally.

Well i did some searching on the net and managed to find another post on a diffrent forum, did what it said and managed to get it going.

The problem was infact my firewall Zonealarm the 50 versions of it seem to some how stop it for running, so i had to uninstall it to get it to scandisk.
