More information is needed. What do these buttons do? Are they URLs? What commands do the buttons execute? From what you've provided, it would sound like the commands executed by the buttons are proprietary to Internet Explorer, and might need some tweaking to run in Firefox. If that's possible.

there are 3 buttons. they can be configured in logitech configuration to do a couple things. you can program them to open any program, or go to any website. i have one set to open up firefox, and the other 2 to go to gmail.google.com and www.google.com

no where does it say IE only, it just sais input a web address to open when you push a button. i input a web address, push a button, nothing happens.

firefox is your default browser, right? I'd probably be asking the same question you are, because I recently switched to firefox... but I also recently spilled soda in my fancy keyboard <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

well now i have a bigger problem, firefox was my default browser, and i was looking at some extensions, and i got a good one for opening up everything into tabs, then i got another one, forgot what it was, never got to try it out because now firefox wont work at all. when i try to open it it just sits. i uninstalled it and reinstalled it 3 times now, same thing every time.

I know exactly which Tab extension you got. It has a horrible reputation for killing Firefox dead in its tracks.

Uninstall firefox, and go to C:\Documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\

    and delete any/all folders named:

    Mozilla
    Firebird
    Phoenix
    Firefox

i dont think it was the tab extenstion, because when i restarted firefox the tab thing worked fine. then i installed some other extension and thats when it started. nonetheless i went and looked in the docs and setts/username and there was no application data file. i looked through and couldnt find anything about any of those programs, then i did a search. i found a few .pf files with firefox in the names, so i deleted them, restarted, and installed it again, and still doesnt work.

You don't see an Application Data folder at all? When you go to Documents and Settings, how many user folders are there? Check each one.

And you say you did a search. Did you search in Documents and Settings for "Mozilla" or "Firefox"?

i searched my entire computer for all of those names. and yes im positive that application data isnt in there, there is cookies, desktop, my docs, favs, start menu and user data. i looked through all of them and saw nothing. i also looked in the all docs and setts/all users/ folder and same stuff.

    X:\Documents and settings\Your Username\

Go to tools -> folder options.

Go to "view" tab and make sure "show hidden files and folders" is ticked.
