Animating?

Ok I checked all of the tutorials, and I didn't find anything that answered my question so here it is: How do I get seperate animations in MS3D? If I understand correctly, I put all of the different animations in the 100 frames and then use .qc files to set which animations are which frames right? So what commands set the frames used by animations?

i dont beleive so. i think you make you animation then export> Half life smd> Sequence. then name it what t should be and check the qc of the file your replacing and copy the animation section of that. and just make a seperate sequence file for each ani9mation called for by the QC

    Makes sense. Thanks.

Ok I got all of my animations set up, exported the .smds, exported a reference .smd, and made my .qc file. But everytime I try to compile MS3D crashes. I believe it is trying to grab the reference when it crashes. Do I have to actually point out the reference in the .qc file?

    ok

Cut your model into 2 diffrent refrence files, but save the skeleton in both. Now compile with 2 $body's and it should compile good. This happens when there are too many polys for the compiler. Problem solved D:

btw its good to tell us whats in the compile log

Its only like 150 polys. And the compile log just loads all of my sequences then crashes.
