Sorry to break it to you guys, but these aren't scripts that give an unfair advantage at all, nor are they abusive. Actually, I like text binds because they compensate well for not having a microphone.

I personally use a mic, but people who don't are without the advantage of being able to shout stuff during combat. With text binds, you can blurt out whatever you need by just pressing a button, so you won't have to interrupt the dance party you're having with the skulk.

bind x "say You build, I'll cover"

You know, if they wanted to spam messages, they could just as easily do it without scripts... so by discouraging the use of these, you're killing an acceptable use of them while doing nothing to prevent annoyance.

most people ive seen with text binds use it for saying crap like PWNEDZORZSRSRSSRASRSR!~!!!!!111!!!1111ONEONEONE~!! over and over and over and over and over.

there is also a pretty handy tool in the customization forum

    <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44260' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...showtopic=44260</a>

and that puts all your needed commands into a menu.

Actually, those are merely the scripting people you <i>notice</i>. How do you discern between a typed and hotkeyed short request for ammo?

In any case, I don't see why I should allow this to progress further into the well-worn areas of script-bickering. <span style='color:red'>***Locked.***</span>
