<div class="IPBDescription">Stand Alone COmplex : 2nd GIG</div> Honestly, I was looking for some Tachikoma pictures because they pwn so much, then I stumble across this XD

I didn't know that a 2nd one was in the making, and being devoid of TV because my sister-in-law's watching DVDs all day, I was cut off from TV, and more specifically, Stand Alone COmplex <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

So yeah, I watch this, all I can say is that it's really nice serious anime, heck I liked it even more than the original (mainly due to subtitles though, TV has it in chinese, and I suck at chinese)

Plus, the singer for the opening song is that same singer, but newer and more rump-kickin song than Inner Universe XD (And yes, it has more russian in it, but it sounds good anyway)

And Tachikoma's r0x0r!

All I can say is watch it if you're bored, you'll soon grow to like it. Finally, something to latch onto for 1 and a half month <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    maybe you should use 3dsmax too..
    it have taken a day to rebuild the tachikoma in 3d.
    with the cellshader plugin the rendered picture looks like a drawing <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    or like one directly out of the show

    Hehe, I would if

    a) I had some modelling experience
    b) am not running on a budget card.

    Seriously, I would go too much into detail ^_^;

    Ah, btw, the tachikoma's in the series are actually models too, with a celshader plugin. Talk about ownage XD

    Man I wish they were real now so I wouldn't be bored for the rest of the holidays <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Shame on me for my horrid attention span <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    But yeah, I think this discussion is becoming more model-oriented, and less anime oriented, and that looks bad ^^;

    Seriously, has nobody watched this yet other than me and sheena here?

    EDIT : And one last off-topic question, but HOW MANY POLIES DOES THAT BABY WEIGH?!

    Seriously, that's a heck load of polies there XD

    ohh and the singers name is origa. the song was produced again by yoko kanno . origa got such a nice voice, and the NEW second gig intro (not the old from the first 3 second gig episodes) fits perfectly to the new song called "rise" .
    i love this russian,english,japanese,latin,gaelic mix shes using

    me hugs origa

    <a href='http://www.r-s.co.jp/rso/origa/index.html' target='_blank'>origas official homepage</a>

    I watched the first Ghost in the Shell and it was the dubbed one. The voice actors were pretty good though. However they asked a lot of philosphical questions that are fearful. If we ever had the technology to put modify our bodies like that, no matter how useful, I would probably try my best to refuse to the very end. It just seems so wrong. Even if they do copy over your "soul". As far as the rest of the anime goes, it was quite good, especially the animation.

    You know, I say that the philosphy of it scared me somewhat, but when I watched FMA those things didn't bother me at all. It must just be the neopunk-esque setting, where all the characters seem distopian. In full metal alchemist, a bunch of characters maintain hope, despite all the monstrosities made by people.

    I understand what you mean by philosophical questions. Boy were those really questionnable....

    Fortunately, you'll barely see any of these in this series. I have watched 1, 3 and 4 (2 rejects for some reason....) and I haven't seen any related things in it anymore.

    Besides, Motoko looks cool in that black uniform....which reminds me, I haven't bought the PS2 game yet <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I've only watched up to 10 of the 2nd GIG, but I think its up to 15 by now.

    I really like how they've managed to keep it original, yet true to the first season. I can't wait to see what they do to Gouda, or he does to them by the end of the series. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    And they brought back the tachikomas! I was hoping they would come back. They're too good to keep away. It's also good that they kept the musical theme the same, I love almost all of Yoko Kanno's work.

    The only thing I find silly in the series, is that it takes all other parts of computers and the internet seriously, but the hacking sequence in episode 9 where they shoot homing missles at actual walls (although they're not on fire) just doesn't fit in.

    Also, is it just me, but are Pazu and Boma nearly useless?

    And sheena, that cell shaded tachikoma is unbelievable (as is all of your work..). <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->
