I wanted to play around with Qoole. It's been a while since I've used this puppy. Just thought I should share.

Come back to the brethren Caboose. Follow not the false editors, lest ye be judged before the purity that is lord VALVe.
Long may Hammer guide and protect me.
But seriously, that is a nice looking map. Is it for DoD?

You might be able to figure it out if you look at the top left of the screenshot.

Don't listen to these HammArites/Mechanists! Quark for life! Power to the pagans!
Add more normal ammo, less shotgun ammo. Fix the 3 doors you can't open, if you squeeze into the boards you become almost invisible, and the door sometimes won't stop trying to close(making that REALLY ANNOYING sound)
Either, as long as you are not a HammArite dog.

Is that cookie.... a DEATH cookie?
....
Because I like those ya know.
DCK pwns all of your sissy little map editors!
But since Qoole is open source, I think I'll improve upon the productivity of it and make it a 1337 editor once again. In other words, worp it so muck that it is no longer recognisable as Qoole.
Anyone up for a project?
Never! When HL2 rolls round you'll flounder, smashed by the glory of a revamped, righteous Hammer .
And when Doom3 rolls around, you'll wish you had been using Radiant.
I think it uses a vastly upgraded form of Radiant, which indeed can be ran to some extent while inside the game.
I've actually used Radiant, Caboose, back when I dipped into RTCW and SOF2 mapping. It's quite similar to Hammer, except notably camera movement and keyboard shortcuts are different and the vertex editing is weaker. I'm sure I'll pick it up just fine for Doom 3 .
Really, in the sense that Radiant has vertex editing, VHE can't touch it. Radiant vas vertex manipulationthat allows you to move one vertex at a time as well as the hammer like edge manipulation. Not to mention Brush skewing and that it keeps the brush scale of the previous brush. Also, you can edit things in the 3d window.
Not to mention you can actually use the mouse wheel in the texture window...

From what I understand, it's based on Radiant. It will have similar functionality.
Real edit... I hit edit... WTH?

Funny, the developers of RTCW and SOF2 exported their Radiant map files to Worldcraft solely for the purpose of vertex editing. I've made cliff faces using both editors, and while it isn't easy in either, Hammer gives you more control. Of course, this was GTKRadiant, standard Radiant has that God-awful camera control that I can't live with.
And proove that they did that? I'd like proofe please? Because I seriously doubt that.
