Kittehs are great but why is it they think its great fun to jump on your lap when you are sat at your desk playing NS.

Usually this is just when a skulk jumps out at you and between the two of them scare the living daylights out of you!!!!

Heh. Mine lies on my monitor and tries to put her paw into the screen, or to catch the cursor, or to paw the compass. I was in the middle of a clan war one time and I couldn't understand why half of my vision was gone until I realised there was a furry arm down one side of the screen

Did all you pet owners get together and conspire to barrage me with pics of your adorable pets so that way I'll end up getting one and either accidentially killing it, or worse, spend all my free time picking up its poop and trying to remove its smell from the place?

Must... resist.. urge.. to... get... kitteh.... or... puppeh... :X

Cats don't leave shyte on the floor, nor do they stink. You're thinking of dogs. Cats are smart enough to go use a patch of sand to do their business, and most are smart enough to recognise a tray of kitty litter as an acceptable sand substitute. And they wash themselves.

Really, the biggest drawback in that department is the tendency to slice up the furnature.

    You can say that again.

Because my parents don't want to buy a scratching post, my cat has become accustomed to scrathing anything scratchable on sight. Like my sofa.

But you forgot one other thing....hairballs!

EDIT : I might take pictures of my cat....provided she isn't hiding somewhere obscure again....

adopt a kitten without telling her and it'll take about 5 minutes for her to either

    A) melt

    B) accept your choice of pet

I just got a kitten...every time I play NS he pulls on my headphone cords, bites my feet...its really annoying.

    But KITTENS ARE TEH WIN!!

    I respectfully disagree.

My friend's cat poops on the floor every once in awhile rather than making it to the litter box.

There is hair all over his house.

And yes, it does smell. You don't smell it since you live there, but if you own a pet and you keep it inside your house will smell.

i have indoor cats but they're like queer eye for the straight guy and they always clean each other and smell like flowers.

Ah, fair enough. We don't keep our cats inside.

And Amber does have a nasty tendancy to throw up on the floor rather than go outside to do it, but I think that's the exception rather than the rule...
