Since this is an alien bot, that is not the case. Some people like to stack marines and want to win every time, this gives them a place to do that without losing.
also, unlike whichbot this bots' bugs dont overway their strengths.
With whichbot, there are just way to many bugs to even bother playing with..
besides, HiveMind AI have been around for a while, but just not as good as they are now and in it's primal 1.0 and 2.0 days it was basically unheard of. Now search for HiveMind AI in google and you get a bit of relevant stuff, (some of it is spammed AI programming by nobodies, so there).

I've just renovated the website, post on the HiveMind forums what u think <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Do the Kharaa actually use all thier ablitys? Move together? Morph into higher lifeforms? Get more hives? Actually provide something of a challenge to a Marine team?
And is there a server anywere running them to try it out?
Yes, they should use most

They normally move in packs during the first few minutes, and then break up into singular as the game progresses. Also, gorges are the most users of packs.

Yes. They have support for all lifeforms.

HiveMind is now only supported for NS:Combat, so they cant build anything.

Yes, but don't take it from me, contact Fraggle, our tester. (talk to him on the forums @ hivemind.zor.org)

Not at the moment. Once we get metamod-support there should be a lot of servers running HiveMind.
Its just that I see so many bugs when using WhichBot and HiveMind was mainly a replacement for WhichBot to fix a lot of bugs.
Besides, I loove coding bots..
They were programed for all maps to adopt different tactics, so as terrorist on office for example they would camp hossies, and another round they would rush the stairs. they were so un predictable as they had about 20 different tactics for each offical map...
Was amazing practise, and great fun on pubs.
As for marine AI, when developing hivemind i use a simple bot that upgrades, etc. for ns combat.
Also, since the soon-to-be-released version, it has metamod support so you can use rcbot in conjuction with HiveMind.
For a feature list, it will be posted on the hivemind forums.
you can access them at www.hivemind.zor.org, enter the site and click on forums.
a vague rememberance of the new version 3.2 (not released)feature list (i'm not at home right now)
is:
- support for nscombat
- steam support
- support for latest ns beta 4a
- support for NS lifeforms
- best ns combat AI available.
- alien only for clans to practice against.
- gorges will HEALSPRAY <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
- waypoint support for all except 2 combat levels.
*bump*
<span style='color:orange'>ModChaosControl: I consider botmakers to have the special priviledge of bumping their main bot progress/news thread as much as they please, with one simple requirement: there must be progress or news to post. *Bump* doesn't justify itself. One more and I'll lock.</span>
Is that true or did I misunderstand something?
