Clan Training
The players in my clan have individualy a fair bit of skill, they aren't as good as me but they ain't bad =) When we play as a team we really don't do ourselves justice. I understand this is what can make great clans (teamwork) but I was just wondering what sort of training I could put the maggots through to turn them into a well oiled killing machine?
Any and all suggestions welcome.

All your guys can do is play loads, and they'll slowly get better, if they don't, there's little hope left
after about a month of scrimming and PUG PUG PUG your marines will own
Because some of the older members in my clan have been in it with me since the beginning we can effectively play wordlessly, there has been a number of times where we have set up complex ambushes without a word exchanged between the participants.
Teamwork really just stems from knowing what your other teammates are capable of and backing them up when they're in a situation they can't (easily) handle alone. Of course from there stems squad tactics, proper communication, moving in groups, diversions and all manner of wonderous things.
but as far as teamwork goes. Trust has to develop. If they cannot trust each other, it doesn't matter how skilled they are, it won't work.
My former clan iRiot had some of the best shooters in all of NS. We couldn't beat some teams though because our teamwork was horrid.
teamwork takes time to develop. Certain teams click faster than others, but the main thing is you can let losses bother you, they are going to happen.
Just keep playing. It will develop.
Take my current clan ariadne for an example: After tohst folded (easily one of europes top clans at that point) some went inactive, others joined clans like ktdm or torment, and yet others decided to form a new german clan. With a new commander (someone that never commed mainly before) and a whole lot of new players we started to play our first matches, and well, we sucked badly. We screwed up every situation that you can think of: While building pgs/tfs the hmg/sg guys started to build instead of the light marines standing nearby, when trying to rush the hive we all kind of played pub style and all died without taking the hive down (I think we didn't take one hive down in the beginning ).
Overtime, as new people joined, old ones left, and our commander got more experienced, our marine play got better and better. With a pretty steady lineup and a lot of scrims (1 - 3 a day) we improved a lot in the following weeks. We are still not perfect (considering our marine teamplay) but if we concentrate we can take on good clans and draw them or even win. I'd say thats good for just 3 months of playing together =D
Yes start from that if you keep your mates equal you can really play together with them
good, sound advice right there. Nobody wants to scrim a team thats like "LOL WE R 1337!" and generally have bad attitudes.
As your scrimming you'll start noticing other people's play style and how they augment ur play style. Just play and pretty soon you'll know what each other is going to do before saying anything. It make take a few months tho.

What for? The in-game voice comm works just fine.

I found it much easier to organize an earlier clan I was in after basically forcing them to use ventrillo instead of solely using IRC to communicate outside of a game.
Convo
Commander: I think _____ just dropped, hey can someone else come in?
Person that was not in game: I can, connecting now
Vent > Ingame
As far as trust goes, pub with each other and practice ramboing. Learning to cover each other against hordes of crappy pub skulks translates well into good coverage in a competitive environment. If you can bait well for your teammate and know what they're doing just by how they move around in game then you are probably at a good point.
Practice, practice, practice. Eventually you should be able to tell if some people on your team are just not putting forth the effort it takes, and those people you actually need to talk to or pinkslip .
