Most Horrible Game Of Ns.

<div class="IPBDescription">I want to kill campers.</div> Well, let me tell you all about the by far worst game of NS I have ever played, this morning, 45 minute game...due to my team feeling they have to camp. (The game only ended because our comm. went nuts and recycled everything, after all of my team started yelling at me...for yelling at them.)

The match took place on Ayumi.

Well, the game started out innocent...for the first ten seconds...then I noticed nothing outside of the general spawn area (first RT.) So I started a motivation lecture...nothing insulting or anything...and they finally got the balls to venture out in the open. We took cold turn no problem, and managed to lock down one hive, then things just got worse. As I turns out this alien team was using actual teamwork, so that proved even worse for a team...not even a team, just a group of morons with guns.

So this is where things turned for the absolute, very definition of worse. We secured info., set up an armory and phase gate...we had a simple, **** system of wasting team resources our brilliant commander set up, give us the expensive weapons, but no HA to help put that investment to good use, I think I saw HA twice in the whole round. And so, from info we would progress up the steap incline..and that is where it stopped. The team refused to move beyond that point. period. Me and two other skilled players charged past our retarded teammates, and cleared out the cold turn res node area completely...no aliens, no nothing in there.

This is when I got really frustrated. When I see nobody is leading the troops from a battle-perspective, I try to assume the role as a secondary commander. (While the actual comm. gives general orders and waypoints, I try to keep the battle organized, and use real world tactics. ex. Flanking, displacement, regrouping, etc.) And nobody understood the aspect of charging and capturing a point. No matter how clear it was for the time being, they refused to move from the safety of our previously captured choke point. (I never knew such a simple area had such a tactical advantage.)

Anyway, NONE of them would budge from that area...this went on for maybe 20 minutes. Aliens rush in, we fight them back, they rush again and fight us back, we phase through and fight them back...once it was all clear, they refused to move up and capture the next choke point. So I started griping in general...alien team was getting a kick out of me mocking and making fun of my team...they were just getting mad and trying to rip on me for yelling at them for being newbish.

If anyone knows WHY this happened, please tell me so I can avoid it in the future. I need a better way to try to spur the troops on in battle. Gah...I need to find a clan to start doing clanmatches with.

You find a decent server, and remain polite at all... and I mean *all* times. Everyone has a bad round now and again, with a less-than-optimal team. Personally, I'd recommend Lunixmonster. It draws a more educated playerset, as friendly fire is kept turned on, and intentional TKing as well as other forms of asshattery are dealt with harshly.

More than that, I'd suggest sitting back and taking a breather. Pretty much everyone who's been playing NS for over a month has had at least one similar experience. The forums really aren't the place to let it out though, or it'd quickly degrade into 'oh, my game just SUCKED!' threads all over the place.

Now, before more... volatile replies are added,
