San Diego Comicon
<div class="IPBDescription">Who's going?</div> <a href='http://www.comic-con.org/' target='_blank'>San Deigo Comicon</a>
The Comicon is a yearly comic/anime/game expo held at the San Diego Convention Center. The main floor is host to hundreds upon hundreds of booths with items for show, products for sale, and lots of really cool things to see. The upstairs rooms are turned into movie theatres, showing different anime shows in some rooms and movies in some others. On the final night of the four day event there is a large masquerade competition.
I missed out last year because of a family vacation out of town, but the year before I went and had a blast. There are tables set out for strategy and card games, as well as booths for new games that companies were teaching people how to play, getting them into it and such. There were also some video game booths to play various upcoming or recently released titles. The various comic and anime booths were very cool as well, and going upstairs to watch some anime was a great way to give my feet a break. I didn't have a large amount of spending money, but I did end up buying both Armitage DVDs, and I still had a great time hanging out with friends.
Being a San Diego native who enjoys most of what is presented at the Comicon, it's only natural that I attend again this year (especially now that I have some more spending money saved up). With the event being less than a month away, I began wondering if any of you will be attending as well. And if you are, are you also a San Diego resident, or are you so much of an anime/comic fanatic that you'll come from out of town?
