A Question About Anime...

<div class="IPBDescription">Kaleido Star and Kodocha</div> I'm sitting here watching through Kaleido Star right now, and something's just kinda hit me, other than i can feel my heterosexuality dwindling while watching an anime about dancing and gymnastics....

In this picture on the far right (with the pigtails) is a character whose name hasn't been brought up yet, who bears a striking resemblance to Sana from Kodomo no Omocha. And standing behind her is a character named Ken who also bears a striking resemblance to a character from Kodomo no Omocha, Hayama.

So what i need to know, from any of you wiser in anime (I'm looking at you, Inf) are they supposed to look like Sana / Hayama? Is this anime made by the same people? Is this just a big coincidence? I've done some googling but came up with nowt.

Ask inf. Inf knows everything.
Even though different studio's produced each series (Studio Gallop for Kodomo no Omocha, and Studio Gonzo for Kaleido Star) and at a distance of 7 years initial airing time apart (Kodomo in 96 and Kaleido in 03) they share one common factor.
