<div class="IPBDescription">W/blinking ability</div>I'm wondering, if a fade has cloaking and he only blinks instead of moving, will he remain invisible? If so, isn't that way too cheap?
There used to be a time when he indeed kept being cloaked, but then a swipeattack was put at the end of the process to make the move more dangerous. As swipe counts as movement, it uncloaks the Fade.
Ah, but if you had silence as well, then you could (by using extreme amounts of patience) wait for all the marines to look away or pass by before blinking, and then sneak all the way to their base!
How long does it take to recloak after you attack?
eh, I dont have the exact numbers .. but it feels like 3 - 5 seconds after you stop moving ..
Also, you dont become uncloaked if you look around (with your mouse for example), you only become uncloaked if you move from one spot to another (yes, that includes 1 inch and shorter .. smart ##### ..) or use your attack.
1) No. It may be possible by some freak accident (you could slip through in the instant while the server hasn't yet realized the door is shut), but generally blinking leads you to the next solid polygon your crosshair is pointing at.
2) Good question. I doubt it - the movement detection has a pretty long update timer (around a second, or so it feels), so your blinking would be finished by the time it could pick you up.
Also, it might be that Silver is right and Fades don't uncloak at the end of Blink - I can remember shooting one spike as Lerk and staying cloaked, maybe it's the same here.

However, when you blink, it will show the blink sprite regardless if your cloaked or not. So, its a dead give away.

Does turning on the spot decloak you?

"Can blink go through walls?" and "Does blink get picked up by the motion detector?"
