Problem With Ns Installation + Steam

ok well i have been playing natural selection for about a month and i think its awsome. but i have just recently unistalled steam for a brief period, i then re installed it and then added CS and halflife , then i proceeded to reinstall NS, and i did, but for some reason after i installed the main game and the 2 patches...it doesnt show up on my games list undeer third party games where it used to before i uninstalled steam...i installed the game but i cant play it i guess because its not in steam...where did i go wrong? is there a certain version of steam i should download or what ..please help an eager player get back to some NS action

I think you forgot to run Halflife at least once before you installed ns.
That results in this.

Read the guide.

However, your specific problem isn't exactly covered.

my guess:
You moved the install dir for the second install of Steam.

In doing so the fisrt NS Installer will try to point at the ORIGINAL Steam install (Steam is bvad about removing registry items upon uninstalls).

All you have to do is find that first NSP dir (it will have created a dir called steam\steamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp)

just move that folder to the actual install of steam.
