never set steam or hl to priority 'realtime', that can mess up your system for it will give steam 100% cpucycles (screen will freeze, only steam will do anything.)

In windows xp priority can be set in the task manager, ctrl+alt+del

it's more likely to be a bandwidth problem - what speed connection you on? It seems to be common for people on slower connections (64K or lower) to be unable to use voice chat decently

i don't really know what voice_dsound does(exept fixing my mic)

but i do know.. you have to put "

voice_dsound 0

into your script:) (userconfig.cfg)


it should work for you aswell. you HAVE to put it into your script. because when you enter it in the console, it doesn't load it..
