In short David Blunkett is trying to find a scapegoat to cover up failings in his own department regarding the Huntley case.
I happen to have met Chief Constable David Westwood, and I can vouch for his integrity, honesty, and ceaseless hard work. The area of Humberside has massively improved since he became Chief.
What's more galling is that he wasn't even the Chief Constable when the errors and problems were made - he started this post in 1999...
So, if you want to help out and make a difference - get over to the <a href='http://www.ntfm.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1040' target='_blank'>NTFM forums</a>, read the details I've put there, and write or e-mail the various parties involved!
