What Ns Server Mods...

<div class="IPBDescription">Would you recommend?</div> Hello! My DoD clan is soon to be adding a NS server. I wanted to get some opinions as to what plugins and add ons I should install. Any direction here is appreciated!

I wouldn't add mods just for the sake of it. Play the game for a week or two and see what you are missing. Otherwise you just end up with loads of mods that you don't need.

You may think after a week, damn I wish people would just join the game instead of sitting in the ready room when the game has started. Then install "Force Join Plugin" to solve this.

Hmm it would be handy to know how much resources my alien teammates have at the press of a button instead of having to ask everyone. Install "Team Res".

Damn these people just sit in spectator mode making the games 9v8 when an actual player could be playing! Install "Locked Spectate"

OMG in my 9v9 server marines always win because aliens don't get enough res. Install "res balancer".

Arghh half my team is AFK! Install "NSAFK Kicker".

Argg I'm stuck! Install "UnStuck".

Pretty much every NS plugin is available from www.modns.org. I'd recommend installing AMXMod stickied in the AMX section, it has lots of fixes built in for NS, rather than using the default AMXMod from their forums which is mainly aimed at CS. Also there is loads more NS plugins made for AMXMod than AdminMod. Very very little NS plugins are made for AdminMod, but you could install it for just basic admining of your server if you prefer its interface.
