Techy support

<div class="IPBDescription">Help!</div>Okay I don't like using the NS forums as my technical support but I have looked everywhere without a solution. Okay heres the problem:

Everytime I play a half-life mod, ANY mod and EVERY mod,on the internet depending on how long the maps are, the game seems to lag severly where I cannont move, 5-10 seconds later all of the sprites dissapear and a red message on the top right-hand corner of my screen apears saying: CONNECTION PROBLEM

This only lasts about 20-40 seconds then the game runs just fine and I am back into my normal low ping around 35-150,

For most mods I can get away with this since I probably die and end up respawning after the wait is over, and this happens to every room I go into. Without an exception this is guaranteed to happen all the time.

Now my main concern for this is because I am looking foward to commander in NS, and the 20-40 seconds might cost my team a lot and I might get booted.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Hope you can help,

Jops,

How very odd. I'd get a new ISP. Or maybe at least try running a traceroute to the server you're on if you're fast enough at getting to it when one of these connection problems hits you... see if it's the server, or a router between you and it. If it's a router, get another ISP. Or complain. One of the two.

No real answers for you though, sorry.

Are you connected to the internet through a LAN, or does your computer go directly to your broadband adapter?

If you've got a router/firewall, what type is it?
