I gave a big lol ^ max when I regarded this.

How would the average joe shmoe on the forum know this? Or the average player? Because the dev's and PT's are constantly filling in others of progress?

The only truely active, responsive and progressive part of the entire NS team is the exterminators, at the moment. Playtesters... hell I don't even know if they know what the core issues of NS are and furthermore, they can't playtest untill something is created for them, so they are automatically only as active as the dev can feed them.

Can anyone verify that this isn't Adminmod, Metamod, or any other 3rd-party software?  Could someone test to see if this is happening under WON as well?  Anyone know when this bug first appeared (beta 3, or has it been in longer)?

Knowing these things would be extremely helpful for fixing it.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I dont think Zunni is the average forum joe-schmoe. The Dev's and PT's aren't continually filling us in on progress because things have kinda stalled with Flayra moving etc. If you're a consti you get a little more communication from devs like Cagey - but major things that are in the works like the BUS they dont WANT people to know, to create a bit of anticipation.

I find it a bit rich to accuse the PT's of failing to understand the core issues of NS. Simply because someone (or a group of people) doesnt agree with your grand dream for NS doesnt mean they have no clue about game issues. Are the vets no longer an active part of playtesting, that you would criticise the PT's/devs for failing to inform the community of whats happening? I was of the understanding that the whole community was a part of playtesting, and that the first the PT's saw of the new build was at the exact same time as the community.

Hobojoe, if the devs took the time to write an elaborate thesis of every little problem with NS, we'd get a hell of a lot more communication and a hell of a lot less work being done on the mod. I know which one I'd pick.

Enough of the sledging nublets please - its downright insulting to come from the DoD forums, where you get an update once every year, that was ready 6 months ago but valve sat on it, that touches on 1/4 of the problems, that has a dev team telling the community "complaints about weapon balance are banned from the forums" and hear you whining like schoolgirls because an update to a PUBLIC BETA you got LESS THAN TWO MONTHS AGO isnt perfectly balanced due to circumstances beyond the team's control

God I wish I was a moderator for 10 minutes, if only to purge these forums of those with nothing to contribute but a negative attitude.

In 1945 the American army liberated the Stalags where Allied soldiers had been imprisoned, and abandoned, locked up without food by fleeing German jailers. These released soldiers were starving when they were freed, and every scrap of food they could get was gratefully recieved. One week later they were complaining to higher command because they only recieved half their expected confectionairy rations.

You people have so much to be grateful for to the dev team, the sheer professionalism of the whole affair puts it head and shoulders above any other mod/game developing community I've been involved in, and still you whine. Bah.

    EDIT
I dedicated my 1337th post to this.

EDIT2: The second part was not aimed at you Forlorn, I understand you have genuine concerns over the direction NS is heading and you offer valuable and supported arguements as to what is wrong and how things should be fixed for the betterment of clan play instead of just screaming that Flayra is teh loose. For pretty much to rest of you who post trash like "Flayra doesnt care" - it was aimed veeerrryyy specificially.

I still think the BUS is a box which has an entrance and an exit to it, which stop at designated points around the map and you pay 1.2 res to board and ride around in for 2 hours. Of cause you can get on and off within those time frames otherwise this would be stupid.

This is getting decidedly too heated for my tastes, but allow me to 'abuse' my powers and bring in a last word before closing this:

In the end, you all know the gist of the current situation. You also know that NS is usually (usually as in 'outside existentially important moves or the lead designers first vacation in two effing years') updated quite regularily. If you disagree with the direction NS' development is heading into, you can not claim that we ever tried to silence you, but you'll have to accept that this isn't <i>your</i> game, just as it isn't mine or the PTs, either.
I find it a little bit unfair to approach Charlie, who began all this, who took great personal risks in creating this game for your free enjoyment even when all common sense would've dictated to let the project go and return to a paid job, with such scornfull sarcasm because he is now making a number of decisions that go against 'your' vision.

In the end, we force nobody of you to play the game. If you are bored with the current situation, please, go ahead; there's tons of more complex games with a more dedicated developer staff, longer running support and faster and more frequent updates out there. Aren't there?
