Typing problems

<div class="IPBDescription">Maybe you guys can help me?</div>Well, I have some Typing problems. In half-life and all the MOD's ( duh ), I have this same problem ( And possibly NS to ). When I type something in the game, it's like the letters on my keyboard ( I think they call it like that ) have been reversed! So when I type '' Watch out! Aliens around corner '' There is '' wqtcg out! qli:ns qrjund cor^e: '' ( Well, it's not as worse but you get my point right! ) on the screen! And this is pretty annoying!!!
It's weird that I only have this problem on half-life and his MOD's. So, do you have a solution for that? Something that can change it?

you could try reinstalling half-life

well instead of just installing over your HL installation, uninstall it, then do a fresh install of HL, that could work too.

if you hit one letter twice and confermed it like if you hit i and it gave you : instead of I but anyways, if whenever you hit I, : was there. i rekin it has something to do with the halflife letter font file...... if it even exsists. But a file like that would be logical, i recemend finding a fresh copy of halflife and then reinstalling it, if it keeps happining, well you might want to reformat and reinstall your windows or linux on ur comp. or it might just be a file in your registry, but i dont know how to fix it soo, those are just hypothises

Well, I tried to use voice communication, but I do not even know if the other players can even hear me!
And if it would be windows the problem, then I would have this problem on ALL my games...And finding another copy of half-life...Well I will try this first and see what it does

Are you using an English setup on the keyboard in Windows and a foreign copy of Half-life?  Or maybe a non-english setup on an english copy of Half-life.

That could screw up some letters, but not all.

This is because HL reconises all keyboards as international american ones, you just have to get used to it, i had the same problem when i was on a french keyboard, i don't think theres anything you can do about it.

Yes, all the people telling you to reinstall HL are wrong and don't know what you're talking about.  That won't fix anything.

HL only features standard 'qwerty' keyboard support.  If you're using something like 'dvorak', you'll have these problems no matter what you do (aside of rearranging your keys or something).

....damn...Well, I think I'll get used to it. And now to make that voice communication work' ( My headphones are fine, I just have to set them up, but first i'll have to remember how I did it )

yeah, you're usign azerty keyboard, HL uses qwerty, there is however an azerty patch on the net. you can find it <a href="http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kriboy/hlkey.exe" target="_blank">here</a>

And where do I have to install this patch, in wich directory, because I installed this patch under Half-life but it ain't working! So do I have to install it in a specific directory? Do I have to change anything?
