Let's get the community behind this.
It seems there's been a major surge in the people who want GMail invitations. A few (Well 2...) threads have popped up already with the premise of giving away some invites.

Today I handed out no less than 20 invitations to various NS Forum and IRC users.

So right now, I'd like to make an official thread for people who would like an invitation. 'Cause I sure as hell know people kept bugging me all afternoon for an invite...

HOW IT WILL WORK
1.) Make a post in this thread with the email address you want the invitation sent too.
2.) Some GENEROUS PEOPLE IN THE NS COMMUNITY who currently have GMail invites to hand out will PM you, and ask if you'd like one.
3.) You accept an invitation from 1 user.
4.) Come BACK to this thread and edit out your Email address. And leave a nice little thank you note and tell us who gave you the invite

We gotta make this as streamlined as possible. So as to avoid confusion.

Problems with Invitations

IF YOU USE YAHOO:
- If you have spam filtering turned on, the vast majority of the time your GMail invitation will be sent to your Bulk Mail folder. So check there.

IF YOU HAVEN'T RECIEVED YOU INVITE AFTER AN EXTENDED PERIOD:
- PM the user who gave you the invitation. Ask them to check in the SENT folder of their GMail account and copy the URL from the Invitation Email they sent you.

GMAIL LACKS POP3 ACCESS!
- Take a look at POP goes the GMail then. A program developed so you can access your GMail account via programs such as Outlook.

There will be only 2 rules for this thread. If you want an invitation I suggest you follow them.

1.) DO NOT TALK IN THIS THREAD. EMAIL'S ONLY!
2.) EDIT OUT YOUR EMAIL AFTER YOU GET YOUR INVITE
3.) IF YOU ARE AFTER A 2ND INVITE, SAY THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE.
4.) TRY TO IGNORE PEOPLE WHO JUST SIGN UP FOR THESE FORUMS FOR AN INVITE (Look for small post counts and join dates)

[edit by Marik_Steele]There is good reason for editing out your e-mail after your invite, even if you don't care about NS forum readers getting it. Many automated spam sending systems scour the internet for anything including the '@' symbol in hopes of getting a working e-mail. You should edit out your addess as soon as it's reasonable in order to prevent spam from coming to your inbox.[/public service announcement]

[edit by Inf] Added in 2 more rules... 2nd invites are fine by me, but it'd be nice if everyone else got an invitation before you got a second helping...

Other than that. I hope everyone will recieve an invite. I'll keep checking my accounts to see if I have any more to hand out
