Favorite Online Game

and why?
What's your favorite multiplayer online game and why? It could be anything from Counterstrike to BF:1942 to Neverwinter Nights ( ) to Starcraft.

Right now, I'm still hooked on NS, but that's bound to run out soon (that is, of course, until NS2 comes out )

NS and America's Army. I just began to like AA a lot better now since I can be on the Special Forces (you get to fully customise your gun, and there's the whole "I'm better than you feeling" ). It's pretty tough to get in IMO.

The only online games I play are CS and Scrabble, though I refuse to play CS on pub servers (I know some groovy passworded ones) unless they're populated with people I know and trust (ie CoFR at the moment).

I'm thinking Starsiege: Tribes. Nobody has since made a better game. Not even those fools who made Tribes 2.

EverQuest is definitely the most fun I've had in online gaming.

Despite my extreme hatred for it after having been addicted, it was awesome.

I'm into SP mostly at the moment, but

    - HL mods
    --- NS 3.0b4 +u
--- S&I, when there are people playing (every blue moon)
    --- VS, see S&I

WC3. I left it for ages, but it's fun to come back to. It's a good laugh.

I tried Etherlords II online, but there's virtually noone around, which is a shame.

That's it, really. I don't like pay-per-play, so I've avoided the MMORPG scene. I may try BF:V again.

From someone who's played either of the BF games, how much do you think it's worth? For instance if a certain friend of mine wanted to sell me his copy....

I'd try out a demo and see for yourself. I enjoyed it a bit (although there's this US class that's unfair when I played), but people seem to either love it or hate it.

CS way back when, DOD a while after, NS soon after that, and then Hostile Intent for a little while. A long long time ago I had a short affair with starcraft, and runescape was a little thing for about 2 weeks, but those times are long gone now.

Currently I am waiting for a UT2K4 mod worth playing to come out, and playing quite a bit of NS and DoD. Also can't wait for the next HI patch to come out, annoying bugs were part of the reason I gave that game up.
