Gamezville? Waste of electricity.. SOMEBODY PLEASE SAVE THOSE CONSOLES FROM HELL !!!!
Gamesmaster was great not because of Diamond, but because of Patrick Moore.
I don't really watch Gamezville, pretty much because I don't like games programs that much - I prefer to flick forward/scroll down to the items I'm interested in, and not have to hear about <i>Fifa 200X: Metal Storm Edition</i>. One thing I've noticed from casually watching the show is that the two presenters are starting to resemble each other more and more. At first they looked and sounded different, but are less so as time goes on.
I guess the best way to describe it is "Ant and Dec syndrome".

Plus they review poopy games. There arent really any decent television game review shows.
'Cybernet' on ITV is okay.. They review good FPS games and LAN stuff which most of us enjoy.. The only problem is that they are VERY late.. They JUST reviewed Far-Cry last week -_-
It has improved since last year tho, having hoped on and off every so often.
But bring back Thumb Bandits, Bad Influence, Gamesmaster any day.

One of the best video game shows I ever watched was called "Video & Arcade Top 10". I watched it when I was little. I dunno if it still airs, but it used to air on YTV. (A Canadian channel.) It was sort of a game show.
Contestants were paired with "home players", who watched the show and had a chance to win prizes. The contestants would play a video game. (Nintendo games, really. The last episode I saw was when the GameCube was first released and people were playing Rogue Leader.)
The winner would get to pick ping pong balls from a giant garbage can thinger. They painted numbers on the ping pong balls that corresponded with prizes on the wall. There was also one that let you pick any prize you wanted.
They had different parts of the shows to talk about a movie or music and give top 10s for video games. (In terms of sales, I guess.)
Does anyone know if it still airs? When and what channel?

Definitely Patrick Moore was great (and at one point, quite literaly God).
Plus they had some amazing challenges, do you remember when they had those three guys try and get the 64 hit combo in killer instinct? Or when they are trying to get al the fatalities from MK? Truly great TV. Plus Dom always had fit girls around, whats the point of TV without a bit of eye candy?

The clip they showed was for Commandos 2.
All the while they were saying "Oh yeah, check out the graphics, OMG teh graphics!!!" THERE IS MORE TO A GAME THAN GRAPHICS YOU POORLY SHAVED MONKEYS.
That said the Guru is.... amusing. Gamezville would be bearable if it wasn't for the presenters, let the G-team host the show, they actually know what they're talking about.

I loved the fact that they changed the 'location' of the series every time, when dom got hit by a car and floated up to heaven, when he went down to hell after. I think there was a water series too... can't remember the others.
I have only seen gamezville a couple of times but it seems to me they only pic non-gamers to prevent us looking like geeks.
"And in one corner we have this guy who plays loads of sport and has a gf"
"and in this one have another guy who has a gf and plays sport (innit)"
but they never add the important bit "but neither of them can play games that don't have a 3+ sign on the cover and they call everything a 'playstation'"
So you get 2 idiots on a game they've never played before, normally racing because crashing into barriers doesn't normally end the game straight away.

At least that had Diane "Jet" Youdale in it. In rubber.
AFAIK all the Games and Gamez stuff is made by the same company, desperately trying to reinvigorate the same old format.
Personally I'd rather see Dom and Diane doing a show, with Dave Perry getting absolutely slaughtered by a young girl before stalking off in a huff.
(Essentially combining the best of everything ever shown in the Games/Gamez stable)
But I digress....
