I have some ambitious ideas and want to create a new experience for NS players including myself. A Few of the ideas i have are listed below.


Player Models

Rines
Vanilla Marine-->Rogue type Character (leather armor, no helm or anything too heavy)
HA Marine--> Knight Type (Lots of metal armor and a helm)

Kharaa
Skulk-->Giant Rat (Whats a medieval type thing without giant rats?)
Gorge-->Not Sure yet
Lerk--> A Small wyvern type creature
Fade-->Not sure
Onos--> A Small Dragon (Kinda big but not gigantic)

Structures

Rines
IP-->Not sure
CC-->Maybe an armored horse (something like a general would sit on)
TF-->Pile of tools or maybe some bows on a table
Sentry Turrets-->Gnomish Archer
Siege Turrets-->A dwarf with a big cannon (shoulder mounted or something, nothing futuristic)
Armory-->A weapon rack with various weapons EG spears swords axes arrows etc
Arms Lab-->Not sure
Prototype lab-->Not sure
Res Tower--> Some kind of wooden structure with a pump that goes into the Res Node
OT-->Not sure

Kharra
Hive-->Somtin organic
SC-->Not sure
DC-->Prob a turtle like creature with a shell wit spikes on it
MC-->Not sure
OC-->Some kind of spike spitting plant
RT-->Dunno

    Ok, here are 2 sword concepts, more to be posted soon. Sorry for the poor drawing quality. I may make some axes for the knife as well. Also, Please don't think I am lazy, as I will try to model these, it's just i don't have muuch time and I want do this whole pack. Thank you. Also, the above are ideas are not set in stone, so please offer me your ideas.

    I know this will be alot of work, and about the swords, I wanted them to be my concepts. Each of these took about ten minutes in a pixel art program. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> So i wanted origional art for this project, and I realize it will be a lot of work, but I am willing to put alot of work into it.     I dont see how you are being rude. I am going to be creating some of the models and doing concept art for others. Although I am completely new to modelling, I really want to get good at it. I just need some help thats all. I hope I answered your question. Also, if anyone can link me too any tutorials for 3ds Max or Gmax I would greatly appreciate it.

Havent really tried wood or metal skinning but if this pack gets off the ground id be happy to help skin some of the models.

    Thnx For the help Grizz. I started moddelling a broken sword for the knife. I think I am going to do multiple knife weapons. All I need to do now is figure out how to render in GMax <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

    I was just doodling in Graphics Gale and TA DA! This came out and I was like that could work. So... Also, any help would be great.     Here is the broken sword. I couldn't figure out how to take screenshots so I will make it downloadable. Please anyone with experience in Gmax, I need help learning how to get images off of it.
