Dropships marine start?

In the NS mapping guide lines it contains info about the marines starting in a dropship before the game starts

"When the game first starts, the marines have a pre-game sequence (link) on their dropship which gives the aliens have some time before the marines can advance through the spacecraft. During this time, the faster aliens should have time to reach almost all the way to the marine starting location, to wait quietly in the rafters or dark corners. The marines will want to storm out of their dropship immediately, but there shouldn't be enough time for aliens to get all the way to the room the marines deploy into."

Is this to be implimented in the final game?

I don't think so, if it is, then the aliens will also require something like this as marines need time to set up a base.  I once heard from a pt that aliens got some sort of headstart, but I haven't heard something like that in several months.  I don't think they have a headstart any more, of course I could be completely wrong, though that isn't too common, this is one area I feel lacking in information on.

Nope, there are no pre-game level sequences in Version 1.

I honestly have no clue whether or not the team has any intentions on bringing back the idea for a later time. I imagine it's at least a possibility though, with the somewhat recent introduction of scripting entities into the fgd.
