any fans?
so I became a PC gamer too late for ultimas 1 through 6, but ultimas 7, 7.5, underworld, and underworld 2 still all hold places in my fave game top ten... with Serpent Isle and Underworld 2 just beneath Chrono Trigger as fave games...
anyway, any other fans of the series? how were 1 through 6? is 9 as bad as they say? considering I only know the Guardian trilogy, I kinda do wanna know how it ends... but they say the combat system, linearity, voice acting, etc. are all horrible so I don't know whether it's worth it...

Is this part of it somehow? or?? o.O?
But personally I don't like the whole "Give us money to play a game. And don't stop."
ultima 7 was a lot like a single player version of it... INCREDIBLY immersive world... it was at the very least the Morrowind of its time, though in my mind it beats Morrowind hands down... I was astounded at the freedom it gave you to explore its gigantic world...
after U7, the games started getting more restrictive though... U8 still gave you SOME freedom, but the world was much smaller and less diverse and the plot was more linear... and U9 is apparently much worse...
anyway, I'm really surprised no one cares about this classic old series... Ultima Underworlds 1 and 2 were done by Looking Glass and are therefore ancestors of Deus Ex, both in plot and engine. I always point out that the games came before Doom 1 and yet they had things like looking up and down, non-right-angle walls, bridges, slopes, 3D objects...
anyway, I'll stop selling these old games, especially since it's so hard to get some of them running on today's computers... particularly U7... but I owe much of my best gaming ever to the good people at Origin...
