Download Problems!

Please help me!
I've got a downloading problem. Whenever I click on a link to download on internet explorer, it doesnt bring up the download confirmation window, internet explorer doesnt bring up anything and "loads" for a really long time. After awhile, the file which I clicked the download link for pops up in a new window, and the window contains all the files in the zip, or whatever I downloaded. Someone please tell me what to do if you understand my problem!

Go there and download the download manager getright. Install it, and tell it to catch all clicks in IE. Not only will that solve your problem, but if you activate features like segmented downloads, can increase the download speed to popular, common files like you wouldnt believe. You can also pause downloads, turn your computer off, turn it back on again, and restart the download without losing any progress.
Either that or venture into new lands with Mozilla firefox or opera

You should be able to change the settings in options AFAIK although I've been useing Firebird now so it may be different.
So if you download winzip, that should instantly fix the zip problem.

/rolls over and dies
He's saying that every computer that has a power cord should also already have winzip installed.
It's just really uncommon to find someone that doesn't have it.

There are plenty of other programs that do zips and many other compression types....
