have to set up my compile stuff though
Ok im working on a map, dunno if it ill make it classic or combat yet. I've basically done one room, haved compiled, but i have a feeling the r-speeds will be way too high. I'm am fairly poor at texturing as i can never seem to find one that i like. I would also like and to add more detail but at the rate im going, im quessing ill probably have to be taking stuff out, based on other maps i have started and scrapped. We'll see when i finally get around to setting up my compile tools (had them perfect, but i forgot to back them up when i reformatted)

Sorry i think the screenshots are 1024 * 768, i dont have photoshop or paintshop to resize

    1. post screenshots in here alse no one will reply, some people just looks for screenshots then leave
2.Those textures the yellow ones, dont suit it at all
3.imo its to hard to tell what a maps like without a compile WITH lights, rad, vis etc

But not a bad start mate

uhh.., you've got very interesting architecture.
Nevertheless it confuses me. That canyon in the middle looks dangerous, maybe put some fence around it, eh? Really can't say anything else.. If you think it's hard to make a room try drawing it into paper first. Have fun with mapping.

[edit] architecture in that bridge is coool!

nah making the rooms are easy, the r-speeds are what im worried about

From the looks of it this scene is too visually confusing. It seems like you have a lot of wall texture changes that are kind of unnecessary. Jumping between texture sets on a wall with no visible division can be kind of tricky.

Also, get the compiling set up. There's only so much that anyone can comment from a hammer screenshot. Lighting is hugely important in ns maps, and it could literally make or break this scene, probably with 0 geometry/texture changes.

I like it, the imbedded green highlights add character. Compile it so we can see the lighting.
