Beta Poll To Unchain The Chambers

Just thought I would post it here, just in case no one had seen it yet.
The basic idea is that the Aliens will now be able to drop any chamber and any time, not being restricted to 1 type per hive.
Aliens however will still only be allowed 1 upgrade per hive, just with more upgrades to choose from.

Yeah, I would also like to know where you got this information. Please don't tell us you are just assuming they will because of the poll. Because the poll is just that, a poll. It's not a dev asking a question about "Should we try unchaining the chambers?"
You can build any chamber but only use as many different upgrades as hives you have, get 1 of 3 different upgrades of your choice with one hive, get all 3 chambers everywere with 1 hive.

at firt, by default the cost of any sc is increased to 15 res instead of 10, the reason for that is not to spam them all over the map...
Hellooooo, thats the ONLY reason of existance for SC, and this plugin kills it, showing how cool dms is and that al lthe "unchain the chambers" whiners obviously never use sc first, they actually need to make sc more expensive...
okay they dont, the server testing it set sc costs back to 10 quickly, now the effects this causes:
1.a: turtling aliens like marines in 1.02
- remember marines in 1.02, the comm dropped 3 ips, 5 turrets, obs, armory and armslab in base even before thinking about the first additional resnode, thats how aliens act unchained now. They get all upgrades before building resnodes, wich is just a big misttake.
1b: no specialistation, no nodes, no teamwork.
- after 4 minutes you most times have 3 sc, 3 oc , 2 dc, 1 mc , 2 resnodes, 3/4 of the alien team gorges and no lerk. Skulks have all different upgrades but rarely one at level 3.
The upgrade chambers most times are spread wildly, not bad for the sc but worst case for the rest, its easy kill for a minimal teamworking group of marines.
- after 7 minutes you have a lot of dead gorges, 1/2 of the chambers lost, still no lerk defending, and still 2 resnodes, gg aliens.
You get the point? most times aliens spend too much res in different kinds of chambers at too different locations, being completely unorganisated and unspecialized because of that, and being low on res in midgame.
2: paranoid marines
- Its really funny, they scan every place, shoot every second corner, and most times they find something, its almost good ns sometimes, hey marines cant afford an obs AND an armslab early game, aliens can...
3 : its just not fair
- marines are forced to be specialized by the cost of structures and the time of upgrades coming (armory, mt, weapons, defense, phasetech) Aliens are now no longer forced to be specialized by the hive building time AND by controlling hive locations.
4: 3rd hive worth less.
- not worthless but definitely not worth 40 res and fighting a location on a 8 ppl server. Once again an organisated team just does not need that 3rd hive, 2 different upgrades are enough if everyone has a different combination.
Marines dont even try to hold a 3rd hive, when its coaked, attacked with regen and mc rushed at the same time.
5: its completely unballancing the midgame
- Get 2 fades make it end , a decently organisated alien team that just talks to each other what uppgrade is requested just rocks with 2 fades that carpace cloaked and use mcs for even faster movement. Same for skulks and whatnot.
6: its like combat
- youre not forced into teamwork, you can cloak or rambo anytime, drop whatever you want, have free choice of your upgrade. Whats so bad about it? ns is team based from the start and combat was never a good idea because its just not team based...
lets get somehing positive:
- no more stupid "omg who dropped sc first" moaning. first time I counted "YES BABY I dropped it I did it, and you know what, IM proud of it! And you can lick my unchained sc"
Actually thats it, silencing something stupid that should never exists, sc first is always great, dc first is easy to kill, sc for the win!
- marines no longer rule the endgame, they cant stay defensive and hope for a ha train, its not giong to work, after 1:30 playing time aliens still have good chances in general. Im not sure if this is actually a good thing, they are screwed midgame also.
- Its just funny, the american way of gorge, free choose of upgrades.
- Its a challenge for marines, they are forced into teamplay or going to loose, if they do teamplay they have a good chance to win early game.
Its fun... interesting.. and opens up the strategeis for the aliens greatly
All this and it DOESENT give them a huge advantage... if they waste all thier res making all 9 chambers... they have no hive.. and no rt's. (this happened to my alien team several times)... so it doesent make them uber by ANY means.
