paths too straight, hmg will just own.
will they never learn the 2 basics of siege maps?
you can drop all rts. altho i do plan to split rines res nodes up into 2 smaller rooms, plan to add 2nd path from front line to rines base, plan to move siege access to front lines or another place, any where but res room, where it is now once aliens take siege room rines lose all nodes.
All tests i ran on it aliens won. once rines were VERY close to winning but comm forget to build ips in siege room after main base was destoryed and thus lost.
developer mode and cheat mode has to be activated before you start anything else in ns. So after ns is loaded activate these to first before starting your map, that should do it
And isn't is dev_overview 1? (oh well try both or not since the minimap is fine to <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
My computer hates it.
I have the BEST graphics DRIVER (NOT CARD, DRIVER) on the market, and it got around... 5 fps average on this map...
too many straight hallways? I unno... 0o'
Add a VIS leaf or two (I'm still trying to learn how to use em)
Those rooms are big, are hope it's r_speeds have kept in shape.
Also, those nodes look a bit close, will players get that error like in normal seige maps?

your driver means very little. i have the newest drivers for my video card (gf2) and i get ~20 fps in battle.
VIS leaves are automatically generated in the compile process in HLVIS, I do not see how he could "add a VIS leaf or two" to make the r_speeds better.
Amen. I'm tired of prettying up my speech for this sort of map, frankly it's depressing and nowhere near as fun as stand NS or Combat.

Aliens can drop all there nodes without the dreaded '2 many rts in this area' issue. and rines can drop all theres. altho i did have issues getting aliens to drop all rine res nodes. altho it realy isnt important in siege map, since 99 res from own res towers.
What do you think of the quality of the map ? the detail and stuff. would it be worth me making a proper map ? lol

But why? Why waste your time on such stupid map concepts? Put your effort into making a real map.
They are real. Real boring. Real amateur. Not real fun.
The detail comment is kinda funny. the most popular maps tent to be thoes that are just plan maps heh. most the simple easy to make maps are big hits yet ones with more detail tent to just fall into the back ground. but ya i like detail <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> i couldnt bare to make a map of nothing but boxes and rectanges :/ have to make it perrty at least a bit.
