Free Asf/wmv/quicktime->divx/mpg Converters?

<div class="IPBDescription">I can't find one.</div>Well now that I've gotten this terrific <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72199' target='_blank'>Gameshark Media Player</a> which I am overwhelmingly happy with, I noticed I have a lot more Quicktimes than I thought I did. And also a bit of WMV's. And 2 really important (read: Metal Gear) ASF's.

So now I'm looking for a way to convert these files to either Divx or MPEG. Stuff like the E3 game trailers and stuff. I am dying to watch the 15 minute new MGS3 trailer on the TV, but its ASF :O :O :O

I have no moneys to buy any programs, so being free is a definate plus. If there's something just really OMG-Good that is pretty cheap I might have to settle for that, but if waving the Open Source flag helps any I'm all for that too.

Anybody have any recommendations?

That one wasn't too helpful as it was just AVI->Divx, which isn't really an issue as this plays both.

I think the only way to do quicktime->avi is with quicktime pro. Or hypercam or something that records from a specific window. Been a while since I did the first, and never really tried the second, so I may be wrong.
