    Doesn't seem to offer much of anything, to be brutally honest. Bland, smothering lighting, flat architecture with few details and a layout that is more akin to a joust than to a game of NS: Combat.

    wait wait.. this could be mad fun.. but its hard to tell when just looking at screen shots.. u need to play it with alot of people..

    but u would have to make it bigger to reduce spawn camping

    I've played this map and there was like 16 players too, it was just endless shooting, but it was really fun..

    For what's viewable, those r_speeds are insane. In the vent, 368 w_polies for a square room... that's absolutely isane. Unless all those crossbeams are brushes with beveled edges and stuff, but for that vent even 50 w_polies could be a little much.

    I wonder how the aliens can make it to marines' side. No, wait! Aren't the marines supposed to attack? It's unbelievable how fun this kind of simple slaughtering maps can sometimes be.. Especially when you've got nothing else to do. With good friends of course.

    Yes the Grenade spamming get a bit insane when youv got a full server. The map
    is currently up on my clans server. Ask for co_triplethreat_pt3
    Ive released four as a test so its not really balanced.

    PT3 - Even, but towards the end Marines win using GL's
    PT4 - Aliens win way too easy due to added side coridors.

    My clans server is [H.A.G] ip: 82.138.242.137:27015 , If u want to try it.

    Also does any1 know how to make a timer so that after 10 mins certain doors
    open, Just like on co_freefall with its phase gates???

    PT4, Bugs fixed their is also 3 secret rooms now, except one which is empty.
    Doors open faster and the left hand door on the aliens side has a time delay of
    0.5 seconds now instead of 6. Sorry <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
    Side coridors added for testing. Thinking of making a room half way down their.

    Plans for PT5 (Final Hopefully)

    Coridors at the side will be blocked off with doors.

    1: At 5mins :-

    a: The centre doors lock down and any1 inside are crushed <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    b: The Side Coridors open up
    c: 3 Holes in Marine start and 3 in the Aliens hive
    open up in the floors leading down into a tunnel system.

    2: At 10mins :-
    a: The middle coridor opens up along with the wall above making a thin tall
    coridor.

    I think in that picture of the vent its also drawing part of marine start which is at the end :/. It is fairly Small but it does work. 75% or more of the ppl coming onto our server love it. The r-speeds are a bit high but for my first try at mapping thats pritty good. I think the highest part is about 650 at the very most. But that is right in one of the top corners.

    Detail isnt really needed too much. Im adding a bit more as i go but you wont have time to look at the scenery. You'l be knee deep in blood and guts within a few seconds <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

    Its an easy map to play. U can learn it fast and games dont last too long.

    In the end i am gonna have 2 versions of it. PT3 with a few extra details here and their. And one with the ideas on the post above. One for quick games and one for a more interesting drawn out game.

    <b>All</b> - You guys need to be more constructive - we are here to help eachother..not put each other down. I mean, I look at the map and see a pretty horrible looking thing but rather than say that, there are numerous suggestions that could be made to make it better rather than insult the guy...

    Ok, i'm actually gonna be constructive. Which is, well, rare for a "fun" map such as this one.

    Each room is a rectangle, get some curves, different angles and such. I see you've attempted to put in varying heights, well, don't stop there, add higher levels, maybe a catwalk around the top or something.

    Your texturing is poor at best. Each wall is just one solid texture. Make walls out of multiple brushes to give several textures that <i>look good</i>, also learn to angle walls and such to give the walls more detail rather than the "i just downloaded VHE and learnt to use hollow!" look.

    By the looks of the lighting, you've just thrown a couple of light entities around with the default setting and thought that they would do. Try adding some light_spots and varying the light entities. Direct the focus of your light, create interesting shadows and light patters.

    I strongly suggest that you head over to <a href='http://snarkpit.com/editing.php?game=HL' target='_blank'>here</a> and that you read some tutorials on even basic mapping. You've a lot to learn. With this map being so absolutely tiny, you have every chance to go mad with r_speeds and fill the map with detail, but you evidently haven't had VHE downloaded for long.

    Dont worry m8 im ok with it... to a point that is. I just ignore a lot of it. But he is right some ppl you just scare off by saying nasty things like that.
    Im mainly not too bother due to it not being my design. Well i did most of the Ready room along with the secret rooms but the main part is allmost all DarkSwordsmans Design.

    Also dont critisize it untill youv played it.

I have only been building this for 2 weeks, less then that infact. Im going the leave this version on HAG server, well the last one. The one i didnt mess up with the side coridors. And start editing it and ill see what dark says its his design so im only gonna keep it if he likes it.

    Im gonna reskin it all and reduce the poly count a little.

    Just like on co_freefall_r1 and ns_siege007. Setting of a door after say 15 mins into the game...
