<div class="IPBDescription">One of the first fully 3D RTS</div> I was talkin to Quasar on IRC and he said he had problems running this truely cool game.

So after fiddling with it for a while, I discoverd that there is an offical patch on the eidos site that when combined with compatability mod in XP will allow you to run the game.

It works fine but I keep crashing on the first mission whenever I get an intel report.
I'm asuming everything else works fine including the <b>multiplayer </b> since you dont get inel reports.

Anyone any idea how to get past the intel report problem?
Or anyone up for a game later?

Just a quck note, to run this on Windows XP you need hotfix KB824141 to be uninstalled. That along with patching the game fully is apparently all you need to get it to work.

Pumpkin has disbanded, so i dont think anyone will get mad if you download it, but it's probably safer to buy it. (that way you have a fully-working hard-copy.)

The best way to avoid the crashing bug is to save. lots. just before you're about to do a major operation, save. start of every game? save. timer is half-way expired? save. this way if it DOES crash, you'll be able to recover easilly. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Ok got it working perfeclty bar the mission, it crashes every time at the first inteligence report, but everything else works fine.

Anyone up for a game tomorow?

Oh and Eidos the publisher is still around so you cant download it, and even if it wasnt it still be illegal.
