It does annoys me that Bungie is still claiming all of their screenshots to be "in-game" though. If they want me to believe that this screenie hasn't had some tampering done to it then they better have some excuse for why the game looked no where near that good at E3.
nice screenie thing tho
Those brackets mean don't dispute me, because I wasn't talking to you.

To be honest, I'm looking forward to Halo 2 more than Half-Life 2... but that's just me
Pretty nifty, but still doesn't change the fact that I won't buy Halo 2.

Well, it's easy for that shot to be in-game. They're offering some solid new graphics tech, much in the same vein as Doom 3 and other next-gen engines - in that shot, you can see the normal maps, spec highlights, etc. etc. and so forth. Now we all remember that Doom3 for Xbox will only support system link multiplayer and not split-screen due to the intensity at which it works the Xbox. Split screen MP would run at about 2 FPS.
Same thing applies here. All the recent shots and videos Bungie has shown are -only- from the multiplayer component, which, unless I'm mistaken, they intend to be able to run in split screen MP modes as well. Thus it would make perfect sense that their MP art content has a few less toys than the single player component.
I saw some Doom3 xBox videos and when the action got a little intence the FPS seemed to die.....
But Halo 2's gameplay, with the multitudes of newfound multiplayer awesome is something that I'm truly, truly looking forward to.

That would make sense, but in all of the single player videos I've seen the, the graphics are on-par with the multiplayer graphics. Not that that's a bad thing, Halo 2 is the best looking Xbox game I've seen, just behind Ninja Gaiden, but I have my doubts about that being an in-game shot, especially since I've seen many shots taken at that exact same door. I have no doubts that the shot I linked to is produced by the engine, but I do have doubts that the game, even in single player mode, will look that good.
Meh I'll see wat Halo 2 has to offer.
Perhaps it will even run at more than 30 FPS :O

Forget about the graphics. Let's not mug ourselves; HL2 will have the better gameplay and that's what counts.

Well, considering this is going to be X-Box exclusive for a good year (or three), you won't have to worry about those things that caused you woe before. Try the xbox version - it's truly much better. just the plain and simple fact that Halo was (after the original PC version was scrapped) created from the ground up for consoles, and thus did not translate well to computers.
But heyhey - hate if you want to hate. It won't lessen my own enjoyment
