<div class="IPBDescription">...to all you budding authors out there</div> The new NEW Wayward Warriors is fully functional. Anymore changes are purely for looks or ease of use. Let me run you through some highlights:

By registering on the Synergy Forums and becoming a story author, you can:<ul><li>Post your stories on our forums (one thread per story</li><li>Link each chapter, part, or whatnot by using the first post in your story's thread</li><li>Use our view.php to make that link page appear to be part of our site</li><li>Update, manage, and append to your story OF YOUR OWN FREE WILL</li><li>You'll get you very own personal page on WW, via the same system you'll use for the story posting! This is like your forum profile here, only you can put nearly anything you want on it, all by EDITING A THREAD!</li></ul>You may be thinking, "What's so great about that? I can do it here!" Yeah, you can, but readers often have to pick through a thread to find the juicy bits of fiction between all the comments! With our new system, your story is how you want it: clean, crisp, and displayed on a bad-arsed design! And it's totally under your control!

Let me show you my newly hosted Unknown Enemy as an example. It's been giving the new WW treatment so as to serve as a show peice. Keep in mind, this entire redo was done forum side. No FTP program/upload to an admin was required.

<a href='http://www.synergysanctum.com/ww/view.php?post=4312' target='_blank'>Check out the NEW Unknown Enemy</a>

To attempt to explain: What you see in the link above is a "shadow" of a forum post, which can be found <a href='http://www.synergysanctum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=778&page=1&pp=10' target='_blank'>Here</a>.

What view.php does is pull the database entries from that thread and make them
appear as though they are actually their own webpages. What this means is: anyone who can post on a forum can virtually run a website. For you that means: you can host your story on a nice looking website without learning/fooling/etc with HTML/Javascript or none of that! We've done it for you!

Details on how to get started to follow soon. If you can't tell, I'm rather excited about this!

And if anyone still has some further questions about the system, I would be more than happy to answer any questions anyone may have.

Usually we just allow users to make a post asking if a certain avatar could uploaded for them to use; however, I went ahead and set the option to allow users to upload their own avatars now. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
