Not the prototype, but one of the earlier XM-8 concepts. I think this one looks better. I've wanted to do this for a while, and I finally got around to it (I know I bugged the guys in IRC about it enough! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
Please excuse the smoothing groups. I also think I need to re-do the pistol grip and stock, I got kind of rushed.
The bullets are just for show. PC is around 2,600 (mainly because of those stupid rails, lol). But, I just saw a 7,000 poly handgun set released for TS, so I don't want to hear anything <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> After faces you won't see in game are deleted, it should be around 2,000 or so.

lol, whoops! You can just barely see the muzzle in the 3rd screenshot
I purposely left off detailed pics of the stock though, because I think I did pretty sloppy on that part <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'll try to clean it up a bit tomorrow and see if anyone wants to mesh/skin
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->that line that seperates the front should be more exaggerated, ive found many great modles can look wierd in HL when oyu have really small gaps because the renderer cant decide if its reaslly there or not <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Good point, I'll see about tweaking that. I'm worried that the rails will look funny at the angle the player will see them as well
uber nice
chould be used for hmg as i cant find any nice hmg modles---
