<div class="IPBDescription">Is there a available DLL for VAC?</div> There used to be a DLL to enable VAC for NS.
Anyone has the current version for NS 3.0 beta 4.0a?

    No, there never was an official DLL for NS that enabled VAC, you are mistaken. VAC is sched. for NS 3.0 final but it remains to be seen whether it is still a priority or not.

    Actually, there was a test install for a VAC enabled NS client+server available around the time 2.01 was being worked on. However, since it required a client update hardly anybody used it.

    (You can get the VAC install <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44132' target='_blank'><b>here</b></a>, but I doubt any servers use it -- and it's 2.0)

    It'd really be great if this got updated. With the new VAC being updated and no longer sucking, quite a few CS and DOD servers are using it. Since cheaters get kicked out of those games and banned from all secure servers they could be heading over to NS where VAC is lacking.

    Seems like it'd be in valve's interest to have VAC on as many mods/servers as possible. It'd be sweet if when you were getting owned you could look at VAC enabled and know it was because the other guy really was that good and not have to wonder if you're loosing because the other guy is an ex-CS cheater.

    Flayra said VAC will be enabled when NS 3 is out of beta.

    Although he did say that about 1.1, 2.01... but I'm sure he means it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
