The writer seems like a pretty your average nub, but at least he has his facts down straight. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->


Also, I like how he makes the term "pan caking" from "Pancaking".

And of course, we meet yet another oppionent of knockback.

I do believe the bug where the marine flies 10 feet is in fact not intended for balance, but it is a bug. Knockback itself is only supposed to be a knockback of a couple inches, not a "bite hopping", as the writer coins it.


Anyhow it's pretty informative and overall it's well written.

    He said in the begining what he was going to discuss, and that was what's different from the last article. It just so happened that CO was the difference so he talked about it. I don't see anything wrong with it. If people want to read about the core play of NS bad enough, they'll just search for it.

    A bit Short but a well read article and the Writter (Thor) seem to know what hes talking about, to an extent.

    The timelimit is a bit of a pain at times for marines but it has its strong points also.

    Sorry about the Pancaking alteration, the dictionary wouldnt accept pancaking as a real word. That at coupled with the fact that I had a whole lot to do for the past week, made me forget to put them back together. Currently, I had prom, High School bomb threat, Sickness, and a broken car all rolled into one for last week.
    I did focus on combat as stated before, because its a major change since the last MOTW was up. As soon as the next major patch happens, I plan to put it in the motw again. NS is the king of user-made modifications, it deserves no less.

    (I tried doing research on knockback, but I was crunched for time. I would approve of a three foot knockback or the like, but the article is aimed torwards new players, and most new players agree that the knockback bug is a pain.)

    But yeah, I'm here to do the MOTW untill I ship for basic in July.

    Some of the regulars even complain about it as well and wish it be changed too.

    As for shipping off for basic, good luck in your endeavors man. Just pray that you don't get stuck in the powder keg that is Iraq.
