<div class="IPBDescription">official hack testers?</div> A few of u were playing NS today, and a hacker joined the server. This person was obviously hacking, biting much faster then possible, speeding all over the map, and building things very quickly.

This person originally said it was lag, but when none of us believed him he switched his story to "the NS team is making me do it."

He basically said that the NS devs had contacted him and told him to test out hacks, as so he could report back to the strength of the hacks.

I am posting here to see weather this is true or not. His name is [ArgonX]FUSiON, and I’m fairly sure he is around 10 years old. I did see another post from a "FUSiON" saying he was doing this for the good of the game, but in his posts he assured us that he "WILL NOT EVER use ANY hacks/cheats again" (a claim made several weeks ago).

So bassicly should this guy be banned for hacking, or is he actually doing a positive thing for the NS community? I would like to know, for if he is not I would like to see him perm banned from everything.

If they wanted to test out hacks, then why weren't they tested on a private server? I say ban him, I'd ban a cheater/hacker no matter what the circumstances are.

Yes I did read all of thoes posts. From them you can tell that no one wants him testing hacks--we all know hacks runing games, no one needs to test this.

What I am asking here is if he is accualy working for someone, as he said while he was hacking.

Just as a side note people who "test" hacks are just hackers with a bad excuse, just imagin if 10% of the NS players tested hacks, in thier opinion for the good of the game as well. We would just end up with no fun games, for the hacks would mess everything up.

As another side note I think a problem here might be the fact that fusion is very young, and therefore has very poor logical thinking ability

lol he got banned by Wolf. a good player and admin. he must have been playing on nsarmslab.

i cant wait for ns to have anti cheat built in to it. that should rock. yet one thing will always get me. accoring to some person called "joolz" - makes hacks i belive. has offered to give it up and work with steam to make anti hacks. "most cheaters come from france".

hate how players think they rock by using the lamest things like aimbots (because they cant aim boohoo) and wall hacks so they can find people to shot (then try stop camping duh?) but u know what really takes the cake. the only thing which really really flames me. cheaters who have the complete works of haxs and when they own u with there little pinky they say things like "perhaps u should get some skills".....that is the most annoying thing....ever.....those idiots with out talent calling a clean player bad...

...Blatent cheaters generally are retarded kids who don't understand that they will be spotted in a tenth of a second or people who take pleasure in annoying everyone.

if you want to test them that bad, do it on a locked LAN server...

No, there are no official 'hack testers' for NS. Some staff members do check up on them on the private development servers, but those should *never* reach the public eye. If someone is cheating on a public server, ban them immediately.

The other side of the coin, 'X is a cheater! Ban him!!' threads are not welcome on these forums either. They tend to inspire nothing more than witch hunts, and immature dolts posting others' IDs to try and get them banned, even when innocent of any cheating.

Again. If you see anyone cheating, ban them immediately. But don't publicize it here.
