Anyways, to the topic - I've always been more or less turned off by battlefield 1942. Vietnam was a much more fun experience, as you had the feeling that you were a little more self-sufficient (or at least I did). Such things as defending the American embassy against the myriad NVA/VC invasions was incredibly fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
So I have high hopes for BF2 - I'm hoping they can make it the battlefield I've always dreamed of.
EA GUY : QUICK! MILK IT BEFORE IT ESCAPES!!
*m000! m00! m0000!*
*Sounds of industrial milker being powered up*
*m000000000000! m000000000000! m000000000-00000000!!!!!!!!*
EA GUY : Ah, now throw all this in the bank, and soon we can start on Battlefield : First Date and Dance Dance Vietkong Revolution.
Playing Battlefield 1942 was a waste of 3 days I'll never get back.
Buying another Battlefield is something I may never do again.
The engine is looking really nice though. I hope this one turns out good. I really enjoyed BF:Vietnam, and I didn't really mean to stop playing it, its just that the SCPT Demo came along and then COH and well.. I haven't played it in like 2 months :o
I just hope they keep the gameplay like Battlefield, and not turning it into a Desert Combat clone, cause I *HATE* desert combat... :/
