A slight problem...

<div class="IPBDescription">Windows screws me over...again.</div>Alright, so, this is a very odd problem I have once and a while with Windows 98.   Im logged in under my Window's user and installing Alien vs. Predator 2.  Suddenly, the system locks, throws me into the blue screen o' death, and I have to restart.  Nothing too odd about that, happens once and a while with all games.  So anyway, my computer reboots, goes through scandisk, and the windows login pops up, like normal.  I click on my user, then type in my password, and windows begins to load up like normal.  After about 30 seconds of loading, the whole computer just freezes.  Cant move the mouse, cant hit ctrl+alt+delete, cant do anything.  If I DO give it the ole' three finger salute and wait for about 2 minutes, the shutdown box comes up and I'm free to move again.  It doesnt tell me anything is "Not Responding" and windows runs fine after that.  Even though windows runs fine afterwards, its really annoying.  One other thing, if I run a different user, it runs fine.  The other users run the same startup progs as I do (some of them more than mine) yet it's only my user that screws up.  If anyone has any input of what I could do to fix this, please tell me.  I figured I'd come here before going through Gateway's troubleshooting.  Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help!

Right, the problem is that this profile is so customized (shortcuts, sounds, wallpapers, programs that remember the user I am, etc etc) that if I got rid of it, I would be in for a big pain in the bum to redo all of it.  I tried copying the user files over, but it just locks up the new user then.
