Help! Transparent Ingame Menus

When I click options in the main screen all of the menus are clear (transparent) and the in-game Find Servers button soes not work. Both work in normal half-life. I have tried re-installing steam and Natural Selection, but no luck. I tried switching video modes and resolutions but neither worked.
